VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
HOBY LEADERSHIP SEMINARS
Among HOBY’s ongoing opportunities for young people to serve and grow are more than 70 weekend HOBY Leadership Seminars held in the U.S. each spring. These programs are only possible through the efforts of more than 4,000 volunteers dedicated to making a difference for the youth of their state. New volunteers are encouraged to get involved. These are some of the many ways to participate:
- Work directly with students during the programs as a Junior or Adult Facilitator
- Organize speaker panels and plan leadership-building activities
- Recruit schools and students to participate
- Assist with fundraising and gathering donated items
- Provide oversight and guidance by serving on the local board of directors
- Or tell us about your skills and we'll find a position for you! If you have questions, or know you are ready to join your local HOBY team, contact the volunteers listed for your area/state.
WORLD LEADERSHIP CONGRESS
The 2023 World Leadership Congress will take place July 22 - 29, 2023 at Loyola University Lakeshore Campus in Chicago, IL.
Volunteers foster an extraordinary experience for the diverse global youth who participate in the WLC, while expanding and developing their own leadership skills at the same time. HOBY ONLINE
HOBY Online is a password-protected online resource for HOBY's key volunteers. It provides access to all of the important documents (manuals, forms, templates, training materials and samples), and alumni and registration databases needed for conducting HOBY's local programs. HOBY Online may be accessed by password below; please contact your Director of National Programs for assistance.
VOLUNTEER LOGINACTIVE COLLAB
Active Collab is a web-based project management application used by HOBY key volunteers to coordinate and store information on the projects of each HOBY Corporate Affiliate. For each “project” such as the Leadership Seminar, volunteers use Active Collab to manage a detailed listing of all project tasks and their deadlines, track which tasks are done and how much of the total work is done, and maintain a central database for project information. Information stored and archived annually in Active Collab includes volunteer contact lists, annual budgets, meeting minutes, program books, and more. Active Collab is also the primary means through which lead volunteers report their progress to HOBY International. Please contact your Director of National Programs for assistance.
ACCESS ACTIVE COLLABFORMSTACK
Formstack is a secured data collection packed with powerful features to help you collaborate with your team, and streamline internal processes. Build a form, customize the design, set up integrations, and go live in minutes. Set up events with ease by using event fields. Easily handle event follow-up and logistics by sending out confirmation and notification emails.
