The Albert Schweitzer Leadership Award is the highest honor bestowed by HOBY, named for the man who inspired and motivated Hugh O’Brian to establish the organization in 1958. The prestigious honor is presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves through service to mankind and who have contributed significantly through leading, educating and motivating youth. The HOBY Alumni Achievement Award recognizes an outstanding HOBY Ambassador who has distinguished himself/herself as a leader in his/her professional, social and philanthropic endeavors, and has carried that leadership with dignity and respect.
The Leadership in Entertainment Award pays deserved tribute to the artistic merits of production companies and outstanding motion pictures and television programs that have inspired and motivated others by the values they promote through the stories told and the characters portrayed.
