Host an Intern

HOBY Internships

Benefits of the HOBY Internship Program for Corporate Partners:

  • Simplify your selection process
  • Hire high-quality, proven leaders in the community
  • HOBY Interns are committed to service

With more than 40,000 students seeking an internship in Washington D.C. each year, talent is in high supply. This large pool of talent can create a time-consuming process for your team to narrow the field and select the most highly-qualified candidate for the position. The Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership team is here to help!

HOBY Ambassadors participate in multi-day programs where they learn to apply their leadership talents to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace, and community. As a result, you can be certain that all HOBY interns are proven leaders in their schools and community, have a strong commitment to service, and hold a 3.5 GPA or higher.

When hosting a HOBY intern, HOBY will promote your job position within our network, collect all interested applicants, and provide your team with a short list of top talent interested in your job position. The HOBY Internship placement process is as easy as 1-2-3!

1- Complete the HOBY Internship Request Form
2- Review final candidates provided by HOBY
3- Confirm your top candidate with HOBY

HOBY will then reach out to the student to confirm the internship offer. Once the student has accepted, you are ready to host your HOBY Intern!
